Introduction

Tingha, like many other small communities in the shadow of larger growth centres, has  gone through more than 130 years of fluctuating change in its colourful history.

The community has its own truly unique character where many of the unique Cottages from various mining resurgence days still exist and where a mass of volcanic rocks of all shapes and sizes seem to come to life and tell their own story in the changing light of day.
